MARKET² offers a new and innovative approach to the administration of the point-of-sale system. The Back Office reflects all of the activity at the point-of-sale terminals by combining all sales and accountability totals for the store in one place. It is also the component that is responsible for the maintenance of all of the product, cashier, and security files and settings needed by the POS terminals. Finally, the MARKET² Back Office serves as the gateway to other store and enterprise systems.
Utilizing a Windows-style look and feel (though it is not Windows – the screen would look exactly the same if running in Linux or Unix), combined with Internet style navigation tools, the MARKET² Back Office is quickly familiar. The Back Office is fully multilingual with all features displayed in the employee’s preferred language, once again helping to reduce training time and increase productivity. The back office is highly configurable using our Panther tool, allowing the retailer to create task specific screens that only contain information pertinent to the job at hand. Normally, these types of changes would require custom coding by the POS vendor resulting in additional time and expense.
