Display
The MARKET² POS terminal is clear, logical and informative, offering a combination display for use by both the cashier and consumer. Large, bright, easy to read fonts are used in a dedicated panel to make it easy for consumers to view their purchases. Dynamic state indicators are extensively used to keep store personnel advised of the operational aspects of the system. MARKET² makes extensive use of graphics and images, be it something as simple as a price check display, or as vibrant and powerful as in Product Picker, a configurable matrix of product images used for produce recognition and other help related functions.

Reliability and Integrity
MARKET² offers a “fail-safe” design that ensures continual store operations. All critical files are maintained at each POS terminal – product files, cashier accountability, security, and detailed logs of all transactions. In the event the Back Office or network is unavailable, any single point of sale terminal, provided it has power, can scan every item in the store with full security and accountability, and with no loss of data. What’s more, when the network is re-established, all data is “recovered” automatically, with no human intervention, and consolidated on the Back Office.

Language
Most POS systems are able to operate in various languages. What distinguishes MARKET² is that it can support up to three different languages concurrently! This means that it is possible to have a French speaking cashier (identified by cashier profile) ringing items for a Spanish customer (identified with a frequent shopper card or key depression from cashier) with supervisory approvals from an English speaking manager (as established in the global store parameters).

Security
Security abounds in MARKET². Virtually every operation that can be performed at the POS terminal is subject to a variety of security level settings.
